This is an aweful book! It's clearly a work of bad science fiction. The vocabulary of "galaxy" and "intrepid" class ships, transwarp, red alert, impulse drive all are clearly drawn from Star Trek while living starships is borrowed from the excellent computer game Homeworld. The numbers quoted in the book are just impossible to believe. A ship with "transwarp" makes a 60,000 light year trip in 200,000 years, well below light speed. A living ship that calmly monitors the Earth's development for 2 BILLION years and then decides to cause many of the equally fictious Bible stories is just as unbelieveable. The idea that the Great Lakes are a message to other worlds that this planet is claimed by the Terran Empire (again, another Trek rip off) is beyond reason since Earth let alone the lakes are inobservable at interstellar distances.Save your energy. This book really makes you think about the real hiistory of our planet. Whether this book is fiction or none fiction doesn't matter because nothing is the way that we have been told in the past. This is another possiblity of what things COULD have happened. As our socity grows up we learn more all the time.
